  9. I am trying to connect to an online service in France 
  10. (Compuserve).  I have a North American modem, and am having a 
  11. fair amount of trouble.  I can get the modem to work, so long as 
  12. another extension is off the hook on the same line.  This would 
  13. seem to suggest that there is a simple change that I would have 
  14. to make to the modem's init string to allow the compatibility 
  15. with France's telecom service.  I have a Sportster 14.4 internal 
  16. modem, and I have already tried combinations if B0 and &G1 
  17. without success. Can someone help me out whith what may be going 
  18. wrong.
