- I am trying to connect to an online service in France
- (Compuserve). I have a North American modem, and am having a
- fair amount of trouble. I can get the modem to work, so long as
- another extension is off the hook on the same line. This would
- seem to suggest that there is a simple change that I would have
- to make to the modem's init string to allow the compatibility
- with France's telecom service. I have a Sportster 14.4 internal
- modem, and I have already tried combinations if B0 and &G1
- without success. Can someone help me out whith what may be going
- wrong.
